#Dreams tell us many things about our lives, who we are, and our present situation. Dreams even warn of us of possible danger or toxic #relationships . If someone is able to decode some #symbol in a dream, they may be able to use it in their own lives to help themselves or others.
-
I have posted dream entries from my #DreamJournal , where I make connections of the inner workings of my mind, and how it relates to me and the world around me, on my blog. Along with my dream entries I post quotes, tid-bits of information, based off the works of #CGJung in relation to #dreamanalysis and significance of dreams in our lives.

Below tid-bit was found in Jung’s Collective Works, 3rd edition:

Nature of Dreams
-
“Dreams contain images and thought associations which we can’t create with conscious intent. They come randomly and are representatives of psychic activity. Interpreting these images helps identify #transferences and conquer them.
-
“The universal problem of evil and good is another aspect of impersonal relations to the world, which produces collective compensations. People who go illegitimately “mooning after the infinite” often have absurdly [commonplace] dreams which endeavor to damper down their [vitality]. From the nature of compensations, we can at once draw conclusions as to the seriousness and rightness of the conscious strivings.”

@yogajournal from the article "Fear not to"
-
Image found on yogalifestyle.com

The article is related to the benefits of #meditation and accepting/conquering and working with your #fear . Through meditation we connect to our #chakra systems, our #energysystem , and through this connection, our #emotions can be noticed, accepted, and decrease the affect of fear on our lives.
-
“Meditation is, among other things, a journey through the layers of your #psyche . As you move deeper, you’ll travel past the fairly superficial level of your #consciousmind—with its mental chatter, problem-solving tendencies, and the like. You’ll also encounter your #subconscious , with its insights, feelings of blissfulness, waves of irritation, volcanic pits of anger, or swamps of sadness. One of the great boons of meditation practice is that it can teach you to move through these layers without identifying with them. With practice, you learn to recognize that all this stuff is arising, passing through you, and subsiding. If you can learn to stay with your meditation when fear shows up, resisting the impulse to believe the story that fear is telling you, you will allow your psyche to #cleanse itself of the fear. The basic practice is to recognize thoughts and feelings as just what they are—thoughts, movements of emotional energy, and nothing more.”
-
When fear comes up during meditation, two practices can help you move beyond it. First, imagine greeting your fear and bowing to it. Ask the fear what it has to say to you, then listen to the message. Tell the fear that you know it is trying to protect you, that you appreciate this, but that you would like it to back off for now. Then sit in meditation a bit longer, allowing yourself to experience the spaciousness that this will create.

Gotta love it when I see that sign. We laughed when we saw it too. Funny. I’m from Santa Fe.

Lol, yes. I was visiting Albuquerque as part of a school project, presenting at the WSSA convention back in April, 2014. My friend and I thought this sign was funny and appropriate for down town Albuquerque hah.
